Exercise Your Will Power

15 Dec

I have stumbled upon Oscar Ramos‘ Behance profile whilst browsing the site. I absolutely love the personality given to the ‘healthy’ options! The close-ups are fantastic as well, I did spend a bit of time just gazing at the different images. Fantastic!

(I really should get myself a profile on there…)

Beer Mat Characters

5 Dec

Yes, this post has been a long time in coming, but I was going through my stickies on my mac and re discovered my list of these beauties!

@InkyGoodness posted these on their twitter. From what I can tell, they held a beer mat character competition and a number of Illustrators have designed them. My personal favourite is the happy jellyfish one! They’re all linked to the original Instagram posts with the individual illustrators accredited to.

Worst Client Feedback

23 Nov

You know what they say, everything happens for a reason and you know what, they are right! As a designer, I have had the absolute pleasure to do something that I love and to sit in on those delightful client meetings! It’s such a great feeling when you deliver an outcome you and your client love! But we all know this doesn’t always come straight away and I must admit I had to giggle when I saw this collection of posters brought to you by a collection of Ireland’s creatives. This work is in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital and these posters are all for sale with all the proceeds going to the Children’s Hospital. I have selected a few personal favourites, the rest can be found here. (Believe me, it’s worth it!)

Lovely Typography

26 Oct

I’ve been a little rubbish recently with my blog, so I apologise for that! So I thought I would share a little gem of typography. I love this typographic piece “Treat Yourself” I found it while I was searching google images with this phrase! It looks as though it could be a tattoo, but it instantly caught my eye when I was scanning the page. Feast your eyes on it!

Jasmine Foster Illustration

1 Aug

Yesterday I wondered into a lovely little gallery in Looe, Cornwall. In the Whistlefish Gallery, I found a beautiful selection of greetings cards and thought I would share them with you. The illustrator behind them is Jasmine Foster who lives in Cornwall.

The Tale of Three Brothers

26 Jul

I was recently reminded of this gorgeous animation of The Tale of Three Brothers from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I saw the last Harry Potter film last week after reading all the books and watching all the films to date. I came across this animation a few months ago and can’t believe I still haven’t blogged about it but watching it on the big screen was amazing! It’s a story told by Wizard parents to their children, teaching them morals such as humility and wisdom. It reminds me of when my grandfather would read me Aesop’s Fables to me. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Unofficial Black Swan Posters

18 Jul

I came across these unofficial Black Swan Posters a while ago! Seeing as Black Swan, with Natalie Portman, came out mid December 2010! But I have only just been able to research into the artist behind them! La Boca is an “independent design circus specialising in art and design for the film, music and fashion industries.” I was left in awe of these pieces of work! Hope you enjoy them too! I love the modernist take on these posters. I hope I can produce something as beautiful soon.

I like these in comparison to the official Black Swan Poster like the one below.
